Rishi Kapoor is the complete opposite of his son, Ranbir. He is vocal, outspoken and very expressive. Be it a trending national issue or a trivial Bollywood gossip, he never hides his share of thought. Also, if he finds anything alarming , he speaks about it, openly, without hesitation.
Even yesterday, he shared a viral image of an in-flight magazine of ‘Air China’. The image was racially insensitive and needed public attention:
This is what he shared:
We,Indians and Pakistanis need to sue Air China for maligning us.Chinatown, Gerrard Street,London W1 never safe. pic.twitter.com/CAwQ7IiYjY
— Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) September 8, 2016
The tweet read:
“London is generally a safe place to travel, however precautions are needed when entering areas mainly populated by Indians, Pakistanis and black people.”
Defaming Indians, Pakistanis, or black people is not justified because a criminal should be judged by his crime not by his race.
Soon, Twitterati poured out their outrage and this is what they said:
@merabharat2011 Chinese are racist from centuries. Called themselves "Middle Kingdom" to show they are above the earthly kingdoms

it's for the Pakistanis to realise that Chinese are no one's friends, they are here only to benefit themselves

Virender Sharma, Indian-origin MP for Ealing Southall, also expressed his anger by writing a letter to the Chinese Ambassador:
I have written to the Chinese Ambassador about the balant racism of Air China https://t.co/hRNsiBjB0F

Seeing the uproar on social media, ‘Air China’ immediately removed this magazine from all flights and apologised for the “editing mistake”.
‘Air China’, in return, also said:
“After discovering this problem, Air China immediately removed this magazine from all flights and demanded that the publishers of ‘Wings of China’ seriously learn from this lesson, strengthen their content review and avoid making similar mistakes.”
Well, Rishi Kapoor always points out something significant!
