Sanjay Dutt’s biopic has been undoubtedly Ranbir Kapoor‘s best performance till now and the movie has already crossed the 200 crore mark since its release. Rajkumar Hirani’s latest has already hailed the protagonist Ranbir Kapoor, as the best actor of the year with his incredible transformation and performance as ‘Baba’. Even though ‘Sanju’ is about Sanjay Dutt’s life, some prominent females like Richa Sharma are missing in it.
As we all know, Sanju’s first wife was Richa Sharma, whom he married in 1987. We all expected her to be a crucial part of this 2 hour-45 minutes film, but that was not so.
The superstar had married thrice in his life. His current wife Maanyata Dutt bore him twins. But Richa Sharma was his first love and mother of his first born – Trishala Dutt. In ‘Sanju’, role of Maanyata was played by Manisha Koirala.
Sanjay Dutt had met Richa Sharma after her broke up with then co-star Tina Munim, who is now married to industrialist Anil Ambani.
The actor fell in love with Richa’s photo in a magazine and proposed instantly. They married at the peak of his career and she left her Bollywood dreams for him.
However, soon Richa Sharma was diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor and she left for treatment to New York. That’s when Sanjay had an affair with Madhuri Dixit.
In 1992, a cancer-free Richa returned, but Sanjay had moved on with Madhuri. She died in 1996 due to her cancer, leaving behind Trishala with her grandparents.
Trishala Dutt shared this emotional post on Mother’s Day this year and it’s too heartbreaking to read:
But before her death, she left a last emotional note for her Trishala. This letter has now gone public after Trishala shared it on her Instagram handle. It’s almost 21-year-old but it can still move you to tears.
