Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan had shocked the Bollywood industry with her comments on casting couch. Naturally, anyone who is jumping in to support the famed choreographer is being subjected to intense criticism and has to face the wrath of fans of Bollywood.
She has defended the casting couch culture and said that Indian film industry “at least” provides jobs and did not abandon women after raping them. She further added that casting couch was not a new phenomena and that everyone, including government servants, had indulged in it.
Now, actress Richa Chadha has spoken in support of Saroj Khan. Chadha has been known in the industry to be a strong, independent woman who often speaks her heart and mind out. In her statement, Chadha questioned that why only Bollywood is being singled out when casting couch is a practice that has been followed in almost every industry.
I think people are making mountain of molehill. There’s narrative that people in Bollywood are the worst&indulge in malpractices which isn’t the case. She meant to say it takes place in all industries, why is Bollywood being singled out?: Richa Chadda, on Saroj Khan #CastingCouch pic.twitter.com/m2omh0n6tN

However, her comment did not go well with the Twitterati who trolled her. Take a look at some of the tweets:
Dear @RichaChadha this is the prime reason why Kapoors, Deols, Bachhane, Sunil Dutt and many legends did not allow their daughters to join this industry.. later karishma n karina did resulting the 2nd hand husbands 😊😊😊
