Arnab Goswami’s maiden news venture, Republic TV, will be streamed online on Star India’s streaming portal Hotstar. This would be the first time when an online portal will livestream a news channel in India.
Republic will be available across the country for users and will be a free-to-air (FTA) channel.

Arnab Goswami also revealed that this partnership will take news to another level digitally.
He said:
We are confident of breaking the digital barrier and believe this is the first step as news produced in India goes digital and then global. We believe the coming together of these two exciting brands and services will take news to the 90 million plus viewers on Hotstar every month.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Microsoft’s Azure will host Republic’s digital platforms and its products will enhance the productivity of the newsroom.
