The dastardly terror attack in Pulwama in South Kashmir has left the entire nation in the mourning. The gruesome attack has been condemned by many all across the globe including major world military powers. It was one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in the recent period. Pakistan-based armed group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has claimed the responsibility of the attack which was carried out by a 20-year-old local suicide bomber identified as Asil Ahmed Dar. He crashed his explosive-laden SUV into the bus that was part of the CRPF convoy on Srinagar-Jammu highway.
The BJP government has vowed to avenge the cowardly attack. In his message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the security forces have been given a “free hand” to decide on their response to the attack and that the perpetrators would “pay a heavy price.”
The mortal remains of the martyred jawans reached their respective hometown on February 16, where hundreds showed up to pay their respects.

As a mark of gratitude to the martyrs, Nita Ambani-led Reliance Foundation has extended their support for the bereaved families of CRPF jawans. In a press release, the foundation said that it was ready to “assume full responsibility” for the livelihood of families of Pulwama victims besides education and employment of their children. It also offered to provide “the best possible treatment to the injured troopers” of the attacks.
The release read:
“No evil power in this world can break India’s unity or our resolve to defeat terrorism, which is an enemy of humanity. Our hearts go out to the bereaved members of the martyrs’ families. The nation will never forget the Bravehearts and their sacrifice. We pray for the recovery of the injured jawans.”
“We shall also deem it to be our duty to shoulder any other responsibility the government may place upon us in service to our beloved Armed Forces.”

In addition, the CRPF Wives Association has collaborated with the Noida-based e-commerce mobile wallet and e-commerce firm Paytm for donations to martyr families. For this, Paytm has created a separate payment gateway for quick payments. Meanwhile, it is said that the government-controlled website for donations — Bharat Ke Veer — has crashed due to immense pressure.
