Regal, over the years that had held its own special place in Central Delhi, even as every movie hall around them turned to multiplexes.
In an age where movie halls have multiple screens and play multiple shows at a go, the single-screen hall struggled to hold its ground.
Over the decade many old and iconic single screen movie halls have closed down or turned into multiplexes to survive.
While no such news seems to be in stored for Regal, the movie owner made sure that despite the personal loss, he dedicated the last day to the Kapoor family as Regal was Raj Kapoor’s favorite hall.

Every time Raj Kapoor had released his film he made sure the Delhi premiere was at Regal.
