Ranveer Singh is, unarguably, one of the finest actors of this generation. Making his debut with a sleeper hit ‘Band Bajaa Baraat’, he showed that he has a really long way to go. After two years of his debut came his collaborations with the legendary director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who molded him into a brilliant actor.

With his stellar performances in ‘Ram-Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’, he captivated us completely.

And now, we all know that his latest film, ‘Padamavati’, is all set for release. In the film, Ranveer is portraying the role of Alauddin Khilji, the most powerful ruler of the Khilji Dynasty.

According to the poem by Muhammad Jayasi’s ‘Padmavat’ written in 1540, Khilji was a barbaric Muslim plunderer who had an uncontrollable lust for Ratan Singh’s wife, Rani Padmini, and wished to capture her.

Recently, Ranveer compared this role with the iconic villainous charact;ers, Joker played by Heath Ledger in  Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’ and Malcolm Mcdowell’s Alex DeLarge from ‘A Clockwork Orange’.

This is what he had posted:

Twitterati went berserk seeing this and trolled him mercilessly for the fact he is too naive to be compared with these legends. Well, to an extent, they are quite right.

This is what they had to say:

Just too much

Ranveer, stop dreaming

It was that low.

That is mean.
