Ranbir Kapoor is a pretty desperate man these days. Having delivered a series of flops, like ‘Tamasha’, ‘Roy’, and ‘Besharam’, the man has been promoting his latest movie, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, with some intensity. The latest film also stars fellow flop-deliverer Aishwarya Rai, and hopeful crowd-pullers-in more-minor-roles like Fawad Khan and Shah Rukh Khan (which reads kind of like a Disney movie where you prefer the secondary characters to the main ones).
The latest Bollywood buzz has revealed that Ranbir Kapoor was so bothered about Tiger Shroff’s ‘A Flying Jatt’ being a flop that he has asked for some major script changes in his next movie – ‘Dragon’.
Kapoor is making ‘Dragon’ with long-time friend Ayan Mukerji; the duo has done two movies together – ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt as Kapoor’s love interest; this will be the first time that these two star kids will act together in a movie. The movie is going to take a while to get started because first Kapoor will work on Sanjay Dutt’s biopic directed by Raju Hirani.
The reason Ranbir Kapoor is worried about ‘Dragon’ is because, like ‘A Flying Jatt’, it is a superhero movie. The fact that Shroff’s movie was a huge dud led to Kapoor wanting to change the plot of his film.
In the movie, Kapoor plays a superhero who can control fire. A year ago, he was quoted as saying:
“Ayan is thinking big, but for that he really has to concentrate on the writing part. Right now, he needs at least a year more for writing. I have always believed that Ayan is a genius writer. There’s no pressure on him to start the film; when he is ready, we will jump into it.”
Meanwhile, some drama remains to unfold soon because the ‘ADHM’ release date, 28 October, clashes with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’. Is this why Devgn is a fountain of patriotism nowadays?
