Despite the fact that Supreme Court has suspended the ban on the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat (earlier titled Padmavati) placed by the leaders of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, the movie could be termed the most controversial project in the history of Hindi film industry. Shri Rajput Karni Sena had threatened to hold a nationwide protest if the makers of Padmavat went ahead with the film’s planned release on January 25. The protests against the movie’s release took a violent turn on January 22 when over three dozen masked people attacked and vandalised shops in Raheja Mall located on Sohna Road in Gurugram. Shri Rajput Karni Sena chief Lokendra Singh Kalvi had said that the Sena is all prepared to stop the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s flick which has a doctored version of the great history of the country. After facing all the fuss, ruckuses, vandalism and death threats, Padmavat is all set to hit the screens on January 25.
All these protests and threats have put a lot of directors in quandary as what to do when choosing a realistic drama or a biography as subject of their movie. Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma found himself in a similar state after he decided to come out with a venture involving American adult film star, Mia Malkova, in a film titled God Sex and Truth, to reiterate his views on the subject through her.
This is not GST as in tax but GST as in GOD,SEX and TRUTH ..I shot this with @MiaMalkova the second adult actress after @SunnyLeone to be shot by a feature film maker #GodSexTruth pic.twitter.com/rOUzN0T8X5

Given the controversial subject matter, the film ran into several protests. Women’s associations led by All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) took to the streets of Vishakhapatnam to protest against the film. They also burnt an effigy of the director.
However, Varma decided not to get bogged down with the things and uploaded a video on his Instagram. The video features the director standing in the middle of a rowdy crowd beating up his crew. However, the director decided to take things in his own hands and “beats the sh*t out of the “imaginary protestors” of Malkova and his movie.
In an interview he has confessed that he watches porn for 15 minutes that gives him an instant high which lasts all day. He had said:
“I’ve always believed that power and sex are the only ultimate prime movers in life. Power has always been looked up to whereas sex is looked down upon. I found a common believer of this philosophy in Mia Malkova.”
Mia Malkova also agreed to the fact that she and RGV share common beliefs as far as sex is concerned.
