Yes you heard it right, Rajkummar Rao was recently seen walking around on the sets of his film ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ dressed as Lord Shiva.
Rajkummar Rao will be seen in ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ alongside Shruti Hassan, in which he had to paint his body blue and dress like Lord Shiva for some scene in the film.
An elated Rajkummar shared, “My character is called Gattu. He is a part of a jagran mandali that is owned by Shruti in the film. It is a part-time job for him and a very interesting character.”
It took two hours for Rajkummar Rao to dress like Lord Shiva and the extreme cold in the city of Nawabs, Lucknow, had added more obstacles for him.
The talented actor also recollected memories from his childhood as this was not the first time he has played the role of Lord Shiva. He used to also play Lord Shiva during his childhood and also had performed ‘Tandava’ for his mother then.
Rajkumar Rao never fails to impress the audiences with the transformations he undergoes for every character he plays in his films.
Be it Shahid Azmi, the human right activist and lawyer, or Deepak Azmi, a migrant who comes to Mumbai for a living, or playing a transgender in Bengali film ‘Aami Saira Bano’, the actor gets into the skin of his character completely.
Rajkummar Rao has also started prepping up for his role as Subhas Chandra Bose in an online series made by Ekta Kapoor which will be filmed somewhere early around next year.
Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao will be shooting in Lucknow till the month end and will return again to the city in January to shoot the last schedule.
