It is the death anniversary of the Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Sardar Patel was the man behind the integration of several smaller states into India post independence.
While it is the day to remember a true Indian National Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi tweeted in his memory.
Remembering Sardar Patel-a leader who worked tirelessly for an India united in common purpose, transcending narrow divisions of caste&creed pic.twitter.com/Zg04ZmKezG

Some can say it was a sweet gesture, but the Twitterati thought otherwise.
