Rahul Gandhi Shouts At Madhya Pradesh Policeman When Stopped From Meeting Families Of Farmers

Despite restrictions imposed by police at the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border, a visibly exasperated Rahul Gandhi stormed out of his vehicle on Thursday afternoon and rushed to face the security personnel. Demanding that the police allow his vehicle to pass, Rahul Gandhi was seen pushing one of the police officers tasked with securing the state border.

“Aap kaise rok sakte ho?” (How can you stop me) Rahul shouted at a policeman. Earlier he was seen ridding pillion on a bike in his bid to trick the police. Rahul was denied permission to enter Mandsaur due to district administration’s interference. He wanted to meet the families of the five farmers killed in a police firing on Tuesday.

 

He later Tweeted and expressed his disappointment over the incident:

The Congress vice-president was detained at the Neemuch border by Madhya Pradesh Police. He was booked under Section 151 and placed under arrest.

 

Police also tried to stop JDU leader, Sharad Yadav, and Congress leaders, Digvijaya Singh and Kamal Nath, saying curfew was imposed in Mandsaur.
