In what could be best described as a smart answer, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi reacted to Rajnath Singh’s statement that the neighboring nation Pakistan of conspiring to divide India on the basis of religion.
Speaking at a Martyrs’ Day Function in Kathua, J&K, Singh said, “Pakistan is conspiring to divide India on religious lines but it will not succeed. We were divided in 1947 on religious basis. We have not been able to forget that… All Indians are brothers, whether they are born from the womb of a Hindu mother or a Muslim mother.”

Singh also said that the neighbouring country could be broken into 10 different parts if it continues to show aggression towards India.
Taking a jibe at Rajnath Singh, Rahul Tweeted:
Yes Rajnath Singhji Pakistan is trying to divide India along religious lines;has it struck you that you &your boss have been doing the same?

This left BJP fuming and BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that Gandhi and Congress party do not miss any opportunity to Pakistan to criticise India.
In his tweet, he said:
