Recently, India’s ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin added a fresh feather into his already illustrious cap by becoming the fastest bowler to scalp 300 Test wickets, and broke Australian fast bowler Dennis Lillee’s 36-year-old record. He also became the fifth Indian bowler to reach the 300-plus wickets club comprising so far of Kapil Dev, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, and Zaheer Khan. Ashwin made his Test debut in 2011 and has taken just over six years to get to 300 wickets, helped by the increase in number of matches India have played in the last few years . The performances of this talent player clearly show that he is among the best multi-skilled players India has ever produced. Ashwin attributes his success to his skills, and the amount of knowledge he has acquired over a period of time, which he puts into practice.
But apart from his cricketing skills many would not be aware of the fact that R Ashwin has a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from SSN College of Engineering, Chennai. In fact, like most of the engineers of his generation, he joined a software company post-graduation.
And he amply displayed his mathematics skills when he responded to this tweet:
My phone was already linked to my bank account. My bank account was already linked to my PAN. My PAN has been linked to my Aadhaar. And now I have to link my Aadhaar to my phone. And then, I have to link my Aadhaar to my bank account. What a mesh, we have got ourselves in.
His intelligent response came after the government extended the deadline for mandatory linking of PAN with Aadhaar by three months to March 31, 2018. This was the third extension given by the government to individuals to link the Permanent Account Number (PAN) with the biometric ID. As of November, 13.28 crore out of 33 crore PANs have been linked to the 12-digit biometric identifier Aadhaar.
And Twitterati were quite impressed by his skills:
He was engineering student . Engineering student usually have good knowledge of math . After showing his talent in cricket field he is it seems trying to show his mathematics talent as well .
