Punjabi Singer Parmish Verma Shot At In Mohali, Alleged Shooter Admits To Crime On Facebook

Famous Punjabi singer, Parmish Verma, was shot in Mohali on April 13 night while he was on his way back to his house after wrapping up an event at the famous Elante Mall of Chandigarh.


The singer was immediately rushed to Fortis Hospital in Mohali and is reported to be out of danger now. Verma told the police that the incident happened when he was going home and had stopped in the way to get dinner. As he was entering his car after dinner, an i20 car came from behind and shot him.

The shooting happened in sector 91 of Mohali. According to PTC news, Verma has told the police the name of the person who shot him and the probable reason for it. He said that he had been receiving threats for sometime now.



The singer shot into fame with his song ‘Gaal Ni Kadni.’

However, in a peculiar turn of events, the person who shot Verma took to Facebook to reveal why he did it.




The person named Dilpreet Singh Dhahan in the post said that he has shot Parmish Verma. Threatening Verma he added that:

“you (Parmish) used to challenge me a lot to come out and face him. See now I have caught you even though you tried your best to miss me. I told you to accept what I said but no you did not do that, so see we’ve met today. Meeting directly has costed you today. Now listen to the remaining part, now that we’ve started, I don’t know till where we’ll go. Don’t be in any doubt that I am no more, I have only earned brothers till today. You were saved by your prayers today but not next time. Now decide if you want to use your own brain or you want to follow what other say.”



The police has charged a case against the assailant but no arrest has been made so far.
