Priyanka Chopra is one Bollywood celebrity who manages to be in the limelight almost all the time for some reason or the other. Of late, the actress has been in the news for her relationship status. Until she made her relationship official, there had been many speculations about her closeness with American singing sensation Nick Jonas. But a few weeks ago, they had a Roka ceremony at Priyanka Chopra’s Mumbai residence amidst close family members and are now officially engaged.
After their engagement, media and fans got busy speculating about when the two would be tying the knot. In fact, about a week ago, there was even a buzz in the media about a video of Priyanka Chopra hinting that she could be pregnant.
But now, the ‘Quantico’ actress has garnered the attention of media and fans for a completely different reason. Time and again, we have seen Priyanka Chopra stand strong as and for powerful and independent women. The way she has represented women across platforms all over the world and raised her voice for feminism, she very well deserves to be called a real feminist.
Feminism is a much-debated subject with different people having a different interpretation of it. When asked about feminism, Priyanka Chopra had one of the best answers.

“If you are a feminist, why not defend the man who gets slapped by a woman for eve-teasing? Isn’t slapping a man a sort of abuse on him?”
Making the concept of feminism very simple for everyone, Priyanka Chopra said that every individual is equal. She said:
“Because physiologically, men and women are different. When we talk about equality and opportunity, we are talking about cerebral opportunity. We are not saying that I want to be 200 pounds like a man and beat the shit out of somebody else. We are saying, you get the ability to do a job, be a CEO, nobody questions when you are driven at 50 and have 3 children, how you are managing it all, don’t question me! That’s what I am saying. I can be a CEO, and a mother. So when a girl slaps a guy when he eve teases her, he deserves it!”
The video of Priyanka Chopra saying this has gone insanely viral on the internet. You can watch it right here:
