We have seen him working really hard since the day his tenure began as the Prime Minister of India. His busy lifestyle and up-to-the-mark knowledge about what’s happening around the globe has made him a popular personality in the world. But behind the energetic persona of Narendra Modi exists a man of specific choices not many are aware of.
If we talk about the Prime Minister’s daily schedule, it is surprising to note that Modi takes only 4 to 5 hours of sleep a day. It is said that when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, his routine was similar. His hectic schedule begins at 5 am every morning. After getting up, he takes his first tea of the day.
He also reads books while sipping tea. He then checks his mail early in the morning after which he proceeds for yoga. Pranayama and meditation form an important part of his daily schedule. After yoga, he also spends some time working out on exercise machines.
After the yoga and exercise session, Modi gets ready and takes his breakfast around 7:30 in the morning. In the breakfast, he prefers Gujarati cuisine. Poha, Bhakhri and sometimes Khakhra are a few dishes he eats on a frequent basis.
When Modi shifted to Lok Kalyan Marg from Gandhinagar, his personal cook, Badri, also came with him. The PM is habitual of eating food cooked by Badri only. He is also habitual of reading newspapers while eating his breakfast. The PM’s employees compile the most important news of the day and mail him on a daily basis.
After completing his breakfast he makes some necessary phone calls. In lunch, he usually prefers light food and then continues with his work. He leaves the office around 10 in the night. After eating dinner at 10:30 pm, he deals with some of his work and reads his books till 12 midnight.
Prime Minister Modi has been following this routine for more than 15 years. It is this dedication which has made him what he is today.
