During the thrilling encounter of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Mohali, it was not MS Dhoni whom everyone was talking about, but Kings XI’s owner, actress Preity Zinta, who stole the show. The big Bollywood actress is often seen at KXIP venues, rooting for her team.
The CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni played an unmatched game and hit several fours and six. He sent the fans into a frenzy when he hit a six at the last ball of the match. However, even his sixes and fours couldn’t save the CSK and they lost the match to Kings XI Punjab by four runs.
Chris Gayle did fantastic on the ground and played a solid 63 runs for his team, setting a high score of 197 for the opponents. To many, Kings XI Punjab looked like a much better team with players like KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Yuvraj Singh, Mayank Agarwal and with the franchise coach as former Indian batsman, Virendra Sehwag.
To earn more fans and to promote the team, Kings XI’s owner, actress Preity Zinta, was seen throwing free team T-shirts at the fans in the stand. It so happened that while she was distributing the t-shirts, one fan shouted something that made her angry. The entire incident was captured in a video that has gone viral on social media.
In the video, Zinta is seen replying back to the person angrily and then walks away from the section. It is unclear as to what the person said and what Zinta replied, but it was evident that she did not like the comment.
In this season of IPL, Kings XI Punjab had started with losing out to Delhi Daredevils. This victory against the former champions, CSK, has raised hopes of the players and the fans of the team alike.
