This Is How Pratiek Babbar Was Finally Able To Quit drugs

It seems that Prateik Babbar is an actor who made his place in the industry despite all the odds. The actor started his career with Abbas Tyrewala’s directorial, ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’. In the film, he portrayed the character of  Amit Mahant, Aditi’s brother. His acting skills and strong on-screen presence was much appreciated in the film. Babbar has also worked in movies such as ‘Dhobi Ghaat‘, ‘Dum Maro Dum‘ and ‘Aarakshan’.

In a  recent interview with Navbharat Times, the ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ actor opened up about his past related to drug abuse. He stated that He started taking drugs when he was just 13 years old.

 

 

He mentioned that he became a victim of substance abuse. He was sent for rehabilitation when he was just 15. He further added that when he came back from rehabilitation, he still suffered from drug addiction. Prateik went to rehabilitation several times. He finally became sober when he was 19 years old. It seems that he surely had it rough, but we are happy that he has finally come out of all this.

 

 

Prateik Babbar was last seen in ‘Baaghi 2‘ where he portrayed the character of Sunny Salgaonkar.

On the professional front, Prateik will be next seen in  Anubhav Sinha’s directorial ‘Mulk‘. Currently, he is busy promoting the film. In the movie, he will be seen sharing the screen space with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor and Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu. His rough look in the trailer the says it all!
