Congress’s election strategist Prashant Kishor (PK) was given the job of reviving the electoral fortunes of the party in UP in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, but his growing influence within the party has upset many.
The party workers in the Nehru-Gandhi bastions of Rae Bareli and Amethi, are already up in arms against the working of PK.
A media report suggests that the area workers of the party don’t consider him as valuable and want Priyanka Gandhi to lead the election campaign.
As a result they have not sent the names of volunteers to PK. The report also mentions that there is considerable dissatisfaction among the party workers related to his work.
It must be noted that Kishor has asked each district chief to form a team of 20 “motivated” people, who were ready to devote their “day and night” to the party.
