Here is a short interview with him:
Q1. What do you like the most?
Ans. I really love the atmosphere of cinema. I really enjoy the fact that people love to watch movies. So you’ll see that in my content as well. It’s more of a ‘massy’ type. I make more comedy in the genre of Rohit Shetty and David Dhawan, rather than in the space of Zoya Akhtar. In real life we are very sarcastic. But I dwell more into the ‘massy’ side because Indian public loves that. I also personally love that. With my content people forget their problems and just enjoy.
Q2. What is the basic thumb-rule of your videos?
Ans. It is if I am the audience and I am watching the video, then what I will want to watch. I have a good understanding of what people want in India. I might be wrong at some places or in a particular region. For instance if you see the Mumbai region, many people there might not enjoy my content, but if you consider pan-India then people love that type of comedy. I have good understanding of that.
Q3. Tell us about you not pursuing career in engineering?
Ans. I think many kids over react when their parents expect a degree from them. See passion is good but I also think education is important.
Q4. What have you learnt from your parents?
Ans. One thing I learnt from mom is humility and bonding. I’ve learnt this from my mom a lot. Bonding with everyone. One very important thing that I have learnt from my dad is, of course, the business skills. My grandpa was a big man. My dad was the son of a wealthy man but still my dad had this pressure of becoming like my grandpa. My grandpa was a legend, but my dad became a legend in his own way. Despite the fact that there was so much pressure, my dad came out of that comfort zone and became a man on his own feet. This is what I have learnt from him.
Even I had a lot of money that my dad owns, but I never wanted that I flaunt that money to the world saying that I am a rich dad’s son. I wanted to be on my own feet and independent. I want to earn my own and have my own identity. So making my own identity is what I have learnt from him.
