Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh recently said that the centre will not tolerate the politics of violence being unleashed across the country by some quarters.
He was addressing an election meeting in West Bengal where he made the statement. Singh also alleged that efforts were on to create disturbance in the country to discredit the ‘good governance’ of BJP-led NDA government.
Singh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was spreading the message of peace across the globe.
He urged people to vote for BJP.
Taking a dig at CPM, he said they did nothing for 34 years. He added that now they are holding hands of Congress and talking of development.
Singh also criticised Trinamool Congress for not bringing any development in the state.
Assembly elections are due in West Bengal this year. The state is one of the most politically volatile ones in the country with killings in the name of political affiliation a regular feature.
