A political expert ate his book on live TV after his predictions went wrong.
Matthew Goodwin, a University of Kent academic, had tweeted that he would eat his new book if the Labour party gets polls as high as 38%.
I’m saying this out loud. I do not believe that Labour, under Jeremy Corbyn, will poll 38%. I will happily eat my new Brexit book if they do

In the polls, the Labour party got 40% of votes and that made Goodwin deliver his promise. He wrote:

The professor and fellow at Chatham House had released the book titled ‘Brexit: Why Britain Voted To Leave The European Union’.
