Just a day after socialite Shobhaa De was trolled for making fat jokes against Mumbai Police and then MP Police, the police officer involved in the picture has come out and slammed De for her insensitive tweets.
On February 21, De had first used his picture to take a jibe at Mumbai Police and was slammed for her insensitive joke.
A day later, she once again took to Twitter and tried to save face by directing the taunt to Madhya Pradesh Police. only to be slammed again.
Mumbai/Maharashtra Police, pranaam. No offence intended. M.P. police, consult a dietician,if it’s an asli ,undoctored image doing the rounds
— Shobhaa De (@DeShobhaa) February 22, 2017
The strategy though had backfired and she once again was slammed for not getting the point.
The tweets though now have come to bite her in the ass, as the officer involved has come out and slammed her for not getting her facts right and defaming him for no reason.
The photo, in which we can see an overweight officer talking over the phone is that of Madhya Pradesh Police inspector Daulatram Jogawat.
A day after his picture went viral on social media, Jogawat spoke to many journalists and revealed that his obesity was the result of a gallbladder operation in 1993 which had caused insulin imbalance in his body and made him put on weight.
Jogawat, who is now posted in MP’s Neemuch police station weighs just over 180 kilos and is upset that De mocked him without knowing his side of the story.
He though jokingly adds that he would be happy if De can suggest some weight-loss treatment which can help him lose weight.
“Nobody loves to be overweight. If madam knows about some weight-loss treatment, then help me lose weight. It is not good to mock someone without having any detail about the person.”
He is not alone in slamming De as even his superiors in the police force has come in his defence and said that despite facing health problems, Jogawat performs his duty with the utmost sincerity and has been lauded by the court many times for his exceptional work.
