Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are man and wife now. It was a fairytale wedding for the two as they took vows in a Christian ceremony on December 1, followed by a Hindu wedding ceremony the next day, at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. Given the glitz and glamour associated with the wedding, no wonder than it has become the talk of the town. For their Christian wedding Priyanka opted for a Ralph Lauren designed gown with more than two million mother-of-pearl sequins sewed into it. But the real highlight was her 75-ft wedding veil. She walked down the aisle with her mother Madhu Chopra.
Another highlight of their wedding that created buzz on the internet was their gigantic wedding cake. According to reports, the wedding cake was a towering 18 feet tall 6-tier dessert which was created by chefs flown in by Nick Jonas from Dubai and Kuwait. Certainly, the couple didn’t leave any stone unturned in making this milestone of their lives.
The pictures and videos from the two day wedding affair were released by People magazine, which had exclusive rights to cover the wedding. And once the pictures of Nick-Priyanka’s wedding were out, people from all across the globe started flooding social media with congratulatory messages.
In an interview with People, both Nick and Priyanka revealed that it was an emotional event for both of them.
Following a three-day wedding celebration in Umaid Bhawan, the couple hosted the reception at Hotel Taj Palace in Delhi. Among the high-profile guests, the biggest name was none other than PM Narendra Modi.
Dressed in a white Kurta-Pyama and a black Nehru jacket, the prime minister was received by Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra. He stayed on stage for about 10 minutes, meeting Nick and Priyanka’s families with folded hands and exchanging pleasantries.
Priyanka introduced her brother-in-law singer and actor Joe Jonas and his fiance “Game Of Thrones” actor Sophie Turner to PM Modi by saying, “Inki bhi shadi hone wali hai.”
However, PM Modi gracing the event couldn’t go well with some people. Here’s how they reacted:
Modi: Kabhi kabhi India aate rhna.
Priyanka: Aap bhi. pic.twitter.com/rjWE88UczC

Priyanka and Nick’s wedding was an amalgamation of both the bride and the groom’s cultures. Clearly, their wedding has raised the bar for celebrity weddings, but wait Isha Ambani’s marriage is coming.
