PM Modi was in Meghalaya to attend the North Eastern Council’s 65th Plenary meeting. He has just wrapped up his Meghalaya’s trip and is posting a lot of beautiful pictures and videos. After the meet, he took out time to enjoy the culture.

He was seen in Mawphlang, trying his hands on Khasi drums, clicking pictures and enjoying the beauty of the region.

First he took lessons to play the instrument.

We have seen PM Modi trying his hands on traditional instruments of the states or countries he visits. He played Taiko drums on his trip to Japan and then, on his trip to Mongolia, we saw him playing the Morin Khurr, a traditional fiddle.

He wrote in his tweet:

First they taught me how to play it and then one of them patted me on the back. A special moment. Honoured and humbled. No bigger privilege than being lauded by the people of the nation.

And then, he was seen trying his hands on drums as well.

Modi’s love for diverse cultures can be seen by the photographs of his visit. Here, PM Modi is also seen enjoying Elephant Falls!
