Earlier this year, violence broke in Pune during an event to commemorate the bicentenary of Bhima-Koregaon battle. The protests disrupted the normal life in many parts of Maharashtra causing severe casualties and collateral damage. In a shocking turn of events, with help of Delhi Police, Pune Police have arrested a human rights activist named Rona Jacob Wilson in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence. Police have found a letter in the Rona Jacob’s residence that has made some shocking revelation related to PM Modi.

Rona Jacob was arrested in Delhi on June 7 and then was produced before the Patiala House Court. Apart from Rona Jacob, Pune police have arrested four others too in the matter including prominent Dalit activist Sudhir Dhawale, Mahesh Raut, Surendra Gadling, and lawyer Shoma Sen.

According to the letter, these people had links with the ‘banned’ Communist Party of India (Maoists). Furthermore, the letter revealed a plan to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi in another ‘Rajiv Gandhi style’ incident. The letter also mentioned the necessity of Rs 8 crore to purchase M-4 rifles and four lakh rounds. The Maoists have been keeping a track of the PM Modi’s activities for a long time.

The urban Naxals have allegedly been plotting an assassination attack on PM Modi, in the same manner the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on May 21, 1991. Here is an image of the letter seized from the accused:

While the planners have been arrested by the police, there is a huge turmoil among the social media users who are angry at the thought of their Prime Minister being in danger.

On realizing the intensity of the news, netizens have reacted outrageously. Take a look at some of the responses:

Angry social media user!

Hypocrisy exists in the country!
