Pizza Hut Africa and Yum! brands recently delivered a pepperoni pizza at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
General Manager of Pizza Hut Africa Randall Blackford, a group of employees and a team of experienced guides hiked to the top of the mountain and shared the pizza at 19,341 ft.
The delivery was a stunt to mark the launch of the first Pizza Hut in Tanzania – the 100th country that the pizza restaurant company has entered in. It took four days for the pizza to travel from the new restaurant to the mountain.
Also, they entered Guinness World Records for the highest altitude pizza delivery on land.
