The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is quite infamous due to their poor services. Earlier, it was reported that seven passengers were forced to stand throughout a three-hour flight due to excess booking.
And now, they have committed an another blunder.
A senior pilot was allegedly sleeping on a London-bound flight, risking the lives of over 300 passengers on board as he handed over the aircraft to a trainee.
Pilot Amir Akhtar Hashmi took a two-and-a-half-hour nap in the business class passenger cabin.
Mohammad Asad Ali, who was also under training, was in the cockpit, too. An international airplane was in the hands of two trainees. How can an airline be so irresponsible?
According to the reports, the pilot Hashmi, gets paid over Rs 1,00,000 each month to train the pilots, and his foremost job was to coach the trainees during the flight.
PIA spokesperson, Danyal Gilani, stated that as the investigation is under way, the pilot has been ordered to stay off-duty.
