The buzz around Salman Khan’s next film ‘Bharat’ has started doing rounds in media while the craze around his last film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ doesn’t seem to have faded out yet. After its release worldwide, Tiger Zinda Hai broke records of box office collection, earning Rs 500 crore giving its lead stars Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan a huge reason to celebrate. However, instead of jubilating, the two stars have landed in a controversy surrounding the film.
During the promotions of ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, Salman Khan had made an objectionable comment which had invited huge criticism for him. In December 2017, this comment had led to huge protests by Valmiki community in Ajmer district of Rajasthan.
Actress Shilpa Shetty too was present at the episode and had allegedly used the objectionable word loosely. A complaint was filed with DCP of South Delhi demanding for an action to be taken against the two Bollywood celebs, however, no FIR was registered.
But this does not mean that controversy is ending any time soon. And this time, Katrina Kaif too has landed in a soup along with Salman Khan.
On February 22, 2017, a plea was filed in a Delhi court seeking lodging of an FIR against Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and others for allegedly using a castiest remark against the scheduled castes. The matter has been listed for consideration for February 27.
