Peshawar School Massacre Mastermind Umar Mansour Killed In US Drone Strike

Umar Mansour, the mastermind behind the deadly massacre at the Army School in Peshawar in 2014 has reportedly been killed in a US drone strike in Afghanistan.

Mansour, who goes with aliases Khalifa Mansour and Umar Naray allegedly perpetrated the December 16, 2014 attack on the school in which around 140 schoolchildren were killed.

According to reports, Umar was killed in Nangarhar, Afghanistan during a US drone strike on July 9.

Umar was not the only militant to perish that day, the drone strike also killed Qari Saifullah, who was in-charge of Taliban suicide bombers.

He was also reportedly responsible for the September 2015 attack on a Pakistan Air Force base in Peshawar’s Badaber area and the January attack on the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.
