In a story that will make every animal lover go aww, a dog named ‘Pepsi’ has adopted the religious shrine of GTB Nagar as his home and its langar food as his daily meals.
It is hard to find any four-legged dog living inside a shrine but that is not the case with ‘Pepsi’, who has made Mumbai’s Dashmesh Darbar Gurudwara his home and made sure that he has no other food than the one offered to him in langar.
According to a blog post – FurrPurr, ‘Pepsi’ just walked into the Gurudwara some years back and has been living there ever since.
The post also states that he had walked in while the evening prayers were going on, and since then has regularly paid visits to local cremation site, while death ceremonies are going on.
Pepsi always stays at the cremation site for the entire ceremony, and then return’s to the Gurudwara to have Langar.
Further, he is usually seen sleeping next to the Guru Granth Sahib ( Holy Book of Sikhs) and attending prayers all day without disturbing anyone.
