The Day 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 player auction is going on in full swing in Bengaluru on Sunday. While all the franchise owners of the IPL have kept their budgets ready and going on picking their favorite players in the team, there is some interesting development taking place in the world of social media over sold price of Indian players KL Rahul and Manish Pandey on the opening day of the auction.
On Saturday, right-handed batsman and occasional wicket-keeper KL Rahul was bought by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) for a whooping price of Rs. 11 crores. Similarly, right-handed middle-order batsman Manish Pandey was picked by SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the same price.
They were the second most expensive buy this year, on the opening day, after England all-rounder Ben Stokes, who was bought by Rajasthan Royals at a price of Rs. 12.5 crore. However, on Sunday, left-armed pacer Jaydev Unadkat zoomed past them after he attracted a bid of Rs. 11.5 crore from the Rajasthan Royals. With it, Unadkat became the most expensive Indian player and second most expensive buy this year, after Ben Stokes, in the 2018 IPL auction.

While both KL Rahul and Manish Pandey, both from Karnataka, are superb players and they deserved to get the best price, many seem not happy or think it’s a bit too much that they have been offered. Many took to social media to express their reactions over the two cricketers price. Take a look at how some people reacted on the Twitter.
Some feel it’s too much for KL Rahul and that even Virat Kohli feel the same.

Some compare them with Kieron Pollard and feel unbelievable for the two.

While others question Chris Gayle unsold on the opening day.

People looked at the price but failed to realize that they are superb players in the first place. We wish Rahul and Manish a very good luck in the coming IPL.
