The Internet over the past decade has become more than a tool to help people, it has become a place where people “socially” meet and unfortunately a place where they “socially troll”.
The latest victim to face the brunt of this “social trolling” was none other than the e-commerce company “Sanpdeal” who unfortunately became the victim of mistaken identity when many Indian’s started confusing it with social media tool “Snapchat”.
To make matters worse, the angry and confused people, took out their anger on Snapdeal’s App, and not on a social media platform, and started uninstalling it and rating it with 1-star review to discredit them.
And there were even people who were angry and confused about other stuff on this platform,
The situation though was hilarious for many others as there is a big difference between Snapchat and Snapdeal.
The outrage came over the news that Snapchat’s CEO, Evan Spiegel, had once said that he didn’t want to launch his app in “poor countries” like India and Spain as that his app was meant only for rich people.
The claim that Evan made this statement is yet to be proved, and the company spokesperson has denied these allegations.
