In a tragic incident recently, several passengers on the Jet Airways Boeing 737 aircraft suffered from nose and ear bleeding. The flight was going from Mumbai to Jaipur during which the cabin crew apparently, forgot to turn on a switch that controls the air pressure inside the cabin. Due to this, 30 out of total 166 passengers were affected with nose bleeding, headaches and ear bleeding. Along with 166 passengers, there were 5 crew members on the Jet Airways flight.
While the affected passengers were immediately taken to the nearest hospital, others were given first aid on arrival. In an official statement released by the airline, the management stated that they regret the inconvenience caused to their on-board guests. However, according to medical experts, the affected passengers will suffer from temporary deafness for couple of days due to the tragic incident.

Well, if you thought that the troubles for the airline are over, then you might want to know more! According to latest reports, a passenger who suffered nose bleed from the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment is asking for a massive compensation from the Jet Airways for their lack of proper care for their guests.
Reportedly, the passenger has demanded Rs 30 lakh in compensation and 100 upgrade vouchers from the airline that will allow him to upgrade his economy class ticket to a business class one. Shockingly, the passenger is threatening Jet Airways of sharing a video of the unexpected incident from the flight and their crew members to the media if his demands were not met.
Evidently, under the order of the law, any airline is liable to pay compensation to its passenger if he/she gets injured while travelling with them. According to the source from the airline:
“He claimed that the doctors have advised him not to fly for five days and sought hotel stay from us, which we have already provided to him. But he has sought escalation by way of compensation and upgrade in travel class.”
