Cricket is widely known as ‘Gentlemen’s game’. However, sometimes, this game can bring out the most uncouth character in its players and provide a different kind of experience to the audience.
Something similar happened during the T20 Pakistan Super League match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators. Sohail Khan, a fast bowler of Lahore Qalandars, threw a ball in the direction of his teammate Yasir Shah. Sohail was trying to set the field and according to him, Shah who was fielding at third man, did not listen to him despite his repeated calls. This angered the bowler who threw the ball in Shah’s direction. The two cricketers were then seen walking towards each other saying something. However, things were calmed down between them by Kiwi legend Brendon McCullum.
This unexpected and one of its kind incident has garnered hilarious responses from Twitter users. Former British cricketer, Kevin Pieterson, took onto Twitter to talk about the silver lining in the incident.
I think I witnessed the funniest moment of my cricket career tonight, when the bowler couldn’t get the attention of his boundary rider & threw the ball at him on the boundary…
