Days after an old schoolmate of actress Parineeti Chopra accused her of “lying through her teeth” by claiming she was poor as a kid, the 28-year-old has taken to Twitter and set the records straight.
Though she refused to even acknowledge her schoolmate’s accusation in her posts, the actress in a series of tweets said that her statements at the event were being “misconstrued”.
She further requested people to not let such “menial things” take precedence over what she was actually trying to say and give importance to self-defence.

Twitteratis though didn’t seem to buy into Parineet’s explanation and were soon quoting her statements from the said event to point out how contradictory they were to what she was claiming now.
@ParineetiChopra “Humare pass paise nahi the. Gaadi driver bus ke paise yeh sab nahi the”- who said this? Alia bhatt?
