A paralyzed youngster named Raees Hidaya, hailing from Malappuram district of Kerala is on a mission to find his doppelganger.
Hidaya knows nothing about his look-alike but has a picture of him from the internet. His hunt began after one of his Facebook friends sent him a few pictures of his doppelganger who had posted a selfie with a girl in the comments section of Michael Phelps, a renowned swimmer. Below is the selfie of Hidaya’s look-alike that he saw on Facebook.
After a few failed attempts to find his doppelganger, Raees Hidaya is asking for help from his friends on social media. Seeking ideas on how to find his lookalike on social media, Raees wrote in one of his Facebook posts ,
This person may be leading a beautiful life somewhere on the earth. I tried to find but could not get any contact. How can I find him?
When some of his friends asked him about why he wanted to find his doppelganger, Hidaya replied that he wanted to hug him and chat with him. He said
People ask me about my eagerness to find the person. My answer is, it will be a great pleasure to find a look-alike man. I want to hug and talk about the similarities.
A few of his friends on social media even mistook his lookalike for him, and a few suggested him genuine ways to find the man.
30-year-old Raees was paralyzed in an accident 15 years ago. He is popular in Kerala for his activism despite being disabled. He is also one of the founders of a non-government organization named Green Palliative that works for bed-ridden people.
