There are reports of 10 Pakistani army posts being destroyed and over 25 of their soldiers being killed in the operation by Indian Army along the Line of Control earlier this month.
On Tuesday, Indian army’s additional director-general of public information, Major General Ashok Narula, released a video of the Indian army’s massive fire assault on Pakistan across the Line of Control in the Naushera sector. The officer has alleged that the strike has caused serious damage to the posts of Pakistan Army.
The video which dates May 9 shows the use of rocket launchers, 106 mm recoilless gun, anti tank guided missile and automatic grenade launchers.
The Indian army has held that this was a move to counter terrorism, which also includes infiltration of terrorists supported by Pakistan into Indian borders.

Maj Gen Narula alleged that Pakistan’s army has been supporting infiltrators by engaging Indian soldiers by firing from posts and pillboxes across the Line of Control and also targeting locals in villages of India close to the area. He said that it is essential to curb infiltration to bring down terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir so that it does not affect the youth, and peace is maintained in the state. The officer also said that the Indian army dominates the area proactively in order to do that.
Defense Minister, Arun Jaitley, supports the move by the Indian army, As expected, Pakistan denies the destruction of any of its posts.
Pakistan’s Major General, Asif Ghafoor, puts the denial across through following tweets:
