Pakistan Won Only 2 Medals At CWG 2018 And Twitterati Got A Chance To Mock The Country

One of the biggest international sports events, Commonwealth Games started on April 4 in the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia and will conclude on April 15. Performance of different countries at the multi-sports event is not only a parameter of their capability with respect to these sports but also a matter of pride for them.




So far, Australia is on the top with 53 gold medals, 41 silvers and 43 bronze. On the second position is England with 25 gold medals, 30 silver medals and 21 bronze medals.

India has also done fairly well at the event and is at the third position with 12 gold, 4 silver and 8 bronze medals bagged by its athletes. However, India’s close neighbor and worst enemy nation Pakistan’s performance has been extremely poor at the event.

As per the latest medals tally, Pakistan is on 29th position with only  2 bronze medals to its credit. The first one was won by weightlifter Talha Talib in 62 kg category and the second one by Muhammad Nooh Dastagir Butt in the 105 kg category.

Pakistan’s poor performance at Commonwealth games 2018 is being seen as a matter of immense shame for the country. This happening, particularly at the time when Pakistan’s reputation is deteriorating internationally over its involvement in terrorist activities, is a matter of major setback for the country.
