The Pakistani Cricket team recently visited the Wagah Border to watch the lowering of the flags ceremony before leaving for their upcoming England-Ireland tour.

And despite knowing that tensions between India and Pakistan have only got worse in the recent period, Pakistani cricketer, Hasan Ali, made an insensitive gesture at the Wagah Border as he danced on his wicket-taking signature step.

It appeared that Ali was mocking the Indian soldiers as he stormed into the middle of the ceremony, and raised his arms in excitement, trying to intimidate our soldiers.

Watch his act here.

This inappropriate act certainly looked disrespectful, as only the BSF of the Indian side and the Rangers of the Pakistani side are officially allowed to perform at the Wagah Border and no public is allowed to indulge in it.

The displeased BSF will lodge a protest against this act. BSF inspector General Mukul Goel said:

“The act has hit the sanctity of the parade. We will lodge a protest with Pakistan Rangers. Anyone can make any aggressive gesture in the viewers’ gallery on both sides but no public person can interfere in the parade. Before or after the parade, the people are free to do such things, but not in the middle of the parade.”

The Twitterati is agitated, too, called this nothing but a ‘nautanki’:

Pakistan will be Pakistan.
