As reported by Mid-Day, the police revealed that the incident took place at Manoj Koliwada Chinese food corner at Venus Chowk of Ulhasnagar. Since people are allowed to consume alcohol at this eating joint, it usually remains quite crowded.
Around 11:30 pm on Tuesday, the victim’s brother Vicky went to the eatery along with three friends to have dinner. After they were served food, Vicky first complained about its taste to the owner and then the two had an argument over the bill. Following this, a heated verbal brawl began between the two and Vicky called up his brother Deepak, asking him to reach the spot immediately.

As Deepak arrived, the eatery owner threw hot oil on his face from a wok. Deepak’s friend Vijay Pagre who accompanied him to the spot also suffered burn injuries on his stomach. The two were rushed to the Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar immediately.
An officer of the Vitthalwadi police station revealed:
“A case has been registered against the eatery owner and the staff under sections 323, 324, 504 and 34 of IPC. We have recovered a CCTV footage from the area, which clearly shows the accused throwing hot oil on the victim.”

It’s pretty clear in the video that the customer was trying to break his stall and even attacked it and what the shop owner did was an act of self defence! How can you just blame the shop owner? Don’t do bias journalism!

This will surely happen in India where Govt machinery doesn’t care to shut down these eateries which serve unhygienic quality food to public. If vendor behavior is like this, we can imagine the quality of food he serves. Nobody cares and this will continue in India.

The eatery owner should compensate the customer. Heavy penalty should be levied on the eatery owner.

I think video shows only one side of the story. Customer may have done something to provoke shop owner to lose his mind. Never judge without knowing full story.
