Puri had passed away on January 6 this year after getting a massive heart attack at his Mumbai home.
He was 66 years-old at that time and is now survived by his ex-wives Seema Kapoor and Nandita Puri, and son Ishaan Puri.
He, along with other actors who passed away last year, were paid tribute by Grammy and Tony-nominated singer Sara Bareilles who sang the song ‘Both sides’, to remember the actors.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Academy Awards’ paying tribute to legendary actor Om Puri.
