On Friday, the National Conference supremo and former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah tweeted this:

He was referring to the decision of the Mehbooba Mufti government to probe the J&K police action at the NIT-Srinagar in which many students were left injured due to alleged lathi charge by the police.

But Tweeple pointed out that the picture he posted was from an incident in 2010 (with the precise date) when he was himself the Chief Minister.

And then began the deluge.

Abdullah is a social media savvy leader, so it can be expected of him to know that one cannot get away with just anything on social media. In case he didn’t know it, he now does. Oh, and he has yet not deleted that tweet.
