In a tweet posted on January 20, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has accused national carrier Air India, of “blocking” him on Twitter.
His tweet was posted along with the screenshot of a post which showed that the Air India Twitter handle @airindiain had blocked him, though when is not clear.

Though he didn’s clarify why he was blocked, one can guess as Omar in past has had a confrontation with Air India.
In December 2015, he had questioned the airline as to why they had suddenly decided to serve only vegetarian meals on the flights which were travelling short, distance or for a shorter duration.
In recent past to Air India has been in a lot of soup for reasons like flight delays, inefficient service or sometimes even for its staff.
They have also suffered huge losses due to intense new competition in the aviation sector, especially with domestic giants like Indigo and SpiceJet often slashing their prices to attract travellers.
Though Air India CMD Ashwani Lohani says Air India’s “performance has definitely improved” in the recent past, they still have been facing a lot of flak on social media, for one reason or the other.

@airindiain This is regressive thinking by Air India. You need to treat females as equal to men and punish the errant men not reserve seats
