With urbanity seeping into every corner of the globe, somehow all the different places are losing their intrinsic charm. Walk in anywhere, and you shall find similar buildings welcoming you. At least, this is the case with most of the “normal” places. It neither lets you soak in the pleasure of traveling nor does it make you feel at home at any place.
At least this is what this 90-year-old grandma feels. With a frenzy to transform her little village into a picturesque beauty having distinctive charm and feel, she has set on to hand-paint the entire village! A resident of Louka, Czech Republic, this old woman has not been let down by her age and set about painting the entire village with gorgeous blue flowers. And, she did it all without any help from others.
A former agricultural worker, Anežka (Agnes) Kašpárková wishes to make her little village attractive, charming and distinct from all other nearby towns and cities. With such novel aim in mind, she picked up this project and decided to paint floral designs on the otherwise mundane white walls.
Since the day she took the project, she has been spending every single day of the spring and the summer in painting gorgeous blue flowers on the walls and around the doors and windows.
When the media asked about her endeavor, all she said was:
I am an artist. I just enjoy it and I want to help.
An epitome of humility, she is definitely an inspiration to many. What do you think of her endeavor?
