In the latest batch of emails released by WikiLeaks, it has been learned that the Obama administration in 2015 wanted to make sure that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit to the Silicon Valley was successful.

These emails were sent nearly two months before Modi’s 2015 visit and took place between US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Nisha Desai Biswal and John Podesta.
“Another option would be to see if (California) Governor (Jerry) Brown or perhaps President Clinton would be interested in co-hosting/convening. Also, would you want to participate in the roundtable? Let me know if you have thoughts on this or want to discuss,”
