A few months back the netizens went into a frenzy when Uttarakhand’s former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank shared an image with his daughter. To refresh your memory, the image was him adjusting the dress of his daughter who joined Army Medical Corps as an officer. Truly a proud moment! Naturally, when the leaders come forward to showcase their pride in their daughter then the citizens have every right to praise the same.
Recently, something similar happened. India’s Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was seen in a picture with a lady Army officer. In no time, the picture went viral on the internet. However, the truth behind the image is something else. Before filling you with the details, here’s the image:
Multiple Facebook pages and profiles started sharing this image with the caption that this is a pic of the Defense Minister with her daughter. Soon it was picked by many Twitterati and they shared it on their social media platform. Suspiciously, most of those pages or profiles had a clear liking for a particular hue, saffron. By now you must have guessed that the image is a fake!
Later it was revealed that the picture was taken when Nirmala Sitharaman visited Hyulong in Arunachal Pradesh. She was there to celebrate Diwali with soldiers and their families. Here’s the tweet on her Twitter:
