The wedding ceremonies of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are nothing short of fairytale. After a whirlwind courtship, actor Priyanka Chopra and singer Nick Jonas got married over the weekend at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan palace in Hindu and Christian wedding ceremonies. And the pictures of both the ceremonies are out! Priyanka revealed the photos on her Instagram handle and they are nothing less than magical. The couple’s wedding photos were first released by People magazine. If reports are to be believed then the duo sold the exclusive rights for their wedding photos to the magazine for a whopping $2.5 million (Rs 18 crore).
In the fairy tale wedding, designer Ralph Lauren also played a central character. For her Christian wedding, Priyanka opted for a custom Ralph Lauren gown, the first ever celeb to do so and even Nick was seen in a Ralph Lauren suit. It was for the first time that he has designed a wedding dress for someone outside from his family.
After their sangeet and mehendi ceremonies (those took place a day before their wedding) the couple has also hosted a grand reception at the Taj Palace in Delhi. The Delhi reception was special for Nick and Priyanka as Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the event.
At first sight, it looks like a match made in heaven and it is definitely sending out wedding goals across the globe.
During the Christian ceremony, Priyanka, escorted down the aisle by her mother Madhu, looked ethereal while wearing a hand-beaded and embroidered Ralph Lauren gown with a 75-foot long veil.
For Nick emotions were running high especially during the Christian ceremony.
The star of the former The Jonas Brothers band was quoted as saying:
“You know you think your whole life about that moment. Honestly, I could not have imagined it would be as perfect as it was. It was highly emotional.”
For the “Quantico” actress too it was an emotional moment. Speaking to peopel.com, she said:
“Every girl dreams of being a princess on her wedding day but I never had a plan about what I wanted it to be.”
“It melted my heart. Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with their closest family and friends was unbelievably special.”
Folks, stay tuned in here for more updates of the newly-weds, Priyanka and Nick.
