Virat Kohli has finally proven Sachin Tendulkar right! We mean that in 2012, the ‘God of cricket’ aka Sachin, had said that if anyone breaks one of his records, it would be Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli. No doubt that the Indian cricket team captain has an endless list of career-defining performances and one such was against West Indies in the ongoing ODI series. He scored 3 centuries in 3 matches and left the ‘master-blaster’ Sachin behind at the second spot! Everyone’s congratulatory messages poured in, but Nick Compton’s tweet on Virat grabbed more eyeballs.

Indian captain Virat Kohli famously broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record of fastest ODI 10,000 runs in cricket’s history.

Virat Kohli also scored his 37th ODI century in the process, a feat never achieved by any Indian before! This was his reaction thereafter:

After Virat Kohli’s outstanding achievement, the maestro himself took to Twitter to congratulate him.

You’ll never imagine Virat Kohli not having an admirer right? Wrong! Former England batsman Nick Compton’s tweet on Virat has ended up giving hints about that!

Nick Compton has cropped up a fair bit of criticism since Virat’s feat, after he took a subtle dig at the Indian captain.

Nick Compton's tweet on Virat backfired

It started when England’s former cricketer Nick Compton was caught in the wrong end after commentator Aakash Chopra tweeted this in praise of Kohli’s record:

Soon, Nick Compton’s tweet on Virat (in response to Aakash) clearly hinted at a dig about Virat’s consistency against the strength of the opposition.

This angered Indian fans who trolled Nick Compton by comparing the Englishman’s rather pale records to that of Kohli.

The exchange got intervened by Aakash who requested Indians not to get personal with Nick Compton.

However, Nick Compton’s tweet on Virat really infuriated one of his fans. He went on to abuse the English cricketer with an offensive Indian curse:

It’s obvious Nick didn’t understand the meaning of that ‘M’ word and soon got a first-hand lesson:

By now, Nick Campton’s tweet on Virat had crossed all limits. However, he continues to take a dig at the men in blue and this latest tweet proves that:

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli seemed unaffected by all this drama and celebrated Karwa Chauth with his beautiful wife Anushka Sharma in much reverence on October 27.
